What is a planetary line?

Every planet was somewhere specific in the sky when you were born. A planetary line marks where that planet was on a key angle — rising (ASC), at its peak (MC), setting (DC), or at its lowest (IC) — for every point on Earth. Live near that line and the planet's energy becomes loud in your life. Jupiter ASC: doors open, people like you. Saturn MC: serious ambitions, serious demands. Venus ASC: magnetic, creative, at ease. The closer you are (under 200 km), the stronger it feels.

Does every planet have a good and bad side?

It starts with your natal chart. If Jupiter sits strong in your birth chart, its line will feel generous and expansive. If Jupiter is tense in your natal chart — clashing with Saturn or Mars — that tension gets amplified on its line, not resolved. The line doesn't change the planet's nature; it turns up the volume on whatever is already there. Venus brings ease and beauty — and avoidance. Mars brings drive — and conflict. Think of every line as a volume dial on something that already exists inside you.

Lines vs aspects — which matters more?

Aspects usually win. A Jupiter line looks great on paper — but if Jupiter clashes with Saturn in your natal chart, that tension comes with you and gets louder. A city with no major line but sitting in a clean harmonious aspect zone often feels better to actually live in. Use Lines to find where a planet is strong. Use Aspects to find where life feels genuinely smooth.

What are harmonious and tense aspects?

Aspects show how planets interact near a location. Harmonious (trines, sextiles): planets working together — things flow, opportunities appear naturally. Tense (squares, oppositions): planets pulling against each other — more friction, more effort required. Clean in the results means harmonious aspects within 100 km and no tense aspects within 200 km.

How are calculations made?

AstroPass uses Swiss Ephemeris — built on NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory data, the same engine used in professional observatory software.
